Pacific City, Oregon

The small beach town of Pacific City has always felt like a second home to Missy since she’s been vacationing at her grandparent’s condo every summer since she was a child. Over the course of her relationship with Jeff, the Oregon Coast has continued to be a place where they share and create memories together. It was a no-brainer that Pacific City Beach is where Missy & Jeff wanted to add another milestone memory to their list: their engagement!

I met Jeff & Missy at Missy’s grandparent’s condo as light was starting to fill the livingroom to kickoff their Oregon Coast engagement session. Through the sliding glass doors you could see Chief Kiwanda Rock, Cape Kiwanda to the right and boats docking on the beach to the left.

We began our sunrise session walking from the condo to the beach where beach grass lined the pathway to Pacific City Beach. We took photos on the massive PNW Coast driftwood #iykyk, made our way the a sea of beach grass, crawled up the sand dunes to Cape Kiwanda where we watched the sun rise over Pacific City and finally ended at the tide pools. Only in the PNW can you get such variety within a five minute walk.

We ended our session by 8am with coffee from Stimulus and a breakfast burrito from Ben & Jeff’s Burger & Tacos. Jeff & Missy spend the rest of the day showing me their favorite places around Pacific City and I was honored to spend a day with them, capturing their love, in one of their most cherished places.
