Engagement

Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles

I say it every time but there is truly no greater honor than capturing a milestone in one of your best friend’s milestone! I had been harassing Sam & Ash to get on my calendar for engagement photos so when we finally picked a date - for the fifth time - I was so excited!

Sam & Ash’s style is classic, artsy and worldly so we made sure their engagement photos reflected that in their outfits and locations. Ash is also an architect so it was essential we picked locations that would help their photos feel like art.

We left their house at sunrise to make it to the Griffith Observatory before the crowds. Although some of the archways and staircases were blocked off for construction, we were able to explore a typically crowded scene alone and see expansive views of Los Angeles.

After the Griffith Observatory, we went to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The courtyard we were hoping to take photos in was closed due to an ongoing concert but the front of the building provided more than enough texture and art.

I would brave the LA summer heat, late night outfit assembly, early morning wake-up and sidewalk changing room shenanigans with you two any day! I can’t wait for your wedding!
