Intimate Wedding Rehearsal Lunch

Rancho Valencia, San Diego

I met Claire through a friend a few years ago. Her Instagram is so aesthetically pleasing it was almost intimidating meeting her for the first time but shocker she ended up being the goofiest and easiest going girl ever. When Claire reached out asking me to shoot their intimate rehearsal lunch at the Rancho Valencia Resort I was honored.

Just as expected, Claire & Carter’s lunch set-up was gorgeous and cozy. Baby’s breath lined the champagne bottles, the vase center pieces were handmade by Carter himself (what?!) and the room was warmly lit with scattered lanterns.

This intimate setting makes my heart happy. With a small group, I’m able to capture tender touches between the bride and groom, warm hugs from friends & family and laughter echoing between conversations.

Their friends & family made me feel right at home from the second I walked through the door - encouraging me to eat, drink and hangout with the happy couple. I knew I really was home when Claire & Carter decided to swap out intimidating speeches for a roast among their friends & family.

Let’s just say, their friends understood the assignment! They came more than prepared to embarrass the soon to be newlyweds and had the room bursting with laughter throughout the entire lunch. They’re another success story to doing whatever you want during your special day. I’m so glad I was able to capture the day before their intimate wedding.
